ASAHi-Con FAQ
FAQs
-
ASAHi is the abbreviation for the Anime Society of Antioch High and also means sunrise in Japanese. We are the fandom club at Antioch High School. We take part in school events and also host smaller events throughout the school year.

ASAHiCon is the fandom convention our club puts on every year in the spring. It is mainly student run, with help and supervision from our academic supervisor, Jason Ebner, when needed. It gives our club members a chance to get training and experience with organizing and setting up an event. The event's times are from 10am to 6pm PST.
We will have all kinds of different things to entertain you. For more information on them, you can look under the "Con Attractions" section up top. We also have food served by various Antioch High School clubs, the proceeds of which help whichever club you are buying from. Our club has its own table where we sell Ramune, Lumpia, and Spam Musubi.

Admission to the con costs $10 with a student ID from any school and of any level, and $15 without. We recommend also bringing a few dollars for food and spending money. Most clubs sell food ranging in price from 1-5 dollars. And we also have a "MarketPlace" for you to look around in and shop.

If you go to Antioch High School, then yes. Just come to Mr. Ebner's room(910) any week day except Wednesday. ASAHi club usually lasts from 3-5 pm every day of the week, but this does not mean it is mandatory for you to come. Some days, club is cut short or cancelled due to varying circumstances.
Each week we also have meetings to discuss club and con work, so just ask about them if you'd like to help out with anything.

We are more than happy to have cosplayers at our event! However, we have a few guidelines we ask attendees to follow when wearing cosplay to our event. Please remember ASAHiCon is a family friendly event, which means nothing that is typically covered by underwear can be shown - that includes chests. Any weapons must be blunt. No swords, sythes, etc. are allowed. Also, cosplaying according to our theme is appreciated, but not mandatory.
